All Propex North American heaters and furnaces are propane heaters. Propane (LPG) has for many years been the driving force in recreational vehicle and camping power. It fires stoves and lights, is readily available across the world, is energy-efficient, cheap, reliable and environmentally friendly.
Why choose a Propane Heater?
Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) is a naturally occurring by-product of oil and natural gas extraction and also is produced during the crude oil refining process. It burns cleanly and efficiently, producing much less CO2, Carbon Monoxide, Nitrogen Oxide, hydrocarbon and particulate emissions than gasoline and diesel. It is by far the most reliable and environmentally friendly way to power a mobile heater or furnace.
Our heaters are designed to work with both propane and butane
Our products are designed to work with varying levels of propane and butane. The relative levels of these will vary depending on where you buy your LPG. Which means if you travel south down into Mexico, or head north into Canada, and buy LPG, your Propex heater will still work perfectly.
LPG tanks can be bought or refilled across the globe too. Which makes LPG a great source of clean affordable fuel, wherever your adventure takes you.
Wouldn’t any old propane heater be fine to use?
No. All of our LPG fired furnaces are externally vented. Even though propane produces far less CO2, Carbon Monoxide and Nitrogen Oxide, the emissions can still be lethal in a confined space. We work hard to make safety our top priority. Which is why all exhaust fumes are always pumped straight out of the vehicle or marine craft. Making it impossible for any of these gases to enter the interior. On top of this, our furnaces and heaters are automatically and continuously monitoring for any possible issues. If any are detected the unit will shut down instantly. You can rest easy with a properly installed Propex heating system, not rest in peace…
